Congratulations to Mahtomedi High School Varsity Tennis Captains and Class of 2024 students Sam Rathmanner and Jack Allaben, who recently hit 100 Varsity Wins! Sam hit his 100th Varsity win in a match against Two Rivers on Tuesday, April 9th. Jack hit his 100th Varsity win in a match against South St. Paul on Tuesday, April 10th. Sam and Jack have been playing varsity tennis since seventh grade.
Did you know? Each year, there are about 20 conference matches. For a player to reach 100 wins, they would need to win almost every match, including post-season, for five years to get to 100. Both Jack and Sam made it to 100 Varsity wins in just over four seasons. Both players are 4-0 so far during the 2024 season.
This is the first time a Mahtomedi Boys Tennis player has achieved this accomplishment, and we have two players this year to achieve this athletic honor!
