Everything You Need to Learn Before Your Child Turns 3

Families of children with disabilities ages 2-3 will learn about the transition process from Part C Early Intervention services to Part B preschool services. Topics include transition requirements, Least Restrictive Environment (LRE), Inclusion, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives.

Life Planning for People with Disabilities (Trusts)
Date: Thursday, May 19, 2016
Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Participants will learn about guardianship conservatorship laws, power of attorney, trust, and other life planning issues. Plan to attend both sessions on 5/9 and 5/19 as they cover different information.

Youth with Challenging Behaviors and the IEP: How to Plan for Graduation and Beyond
Date: Monday, May 23, 2016
Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Planning for graduation and beyond is an important step for youth. This interactive workshop is for parents and transition-age youth (ages 14 to 21) with mental health, emotional, or behavioral needs. The workshop will provide strategies to develop an effective transition IEP for youth with challenging behaviors. Youth are invited to attend and bring their IEP.
